The Head of Operations has a broad managerial role with responsibilities within staffing and business development, office budget and capacity planning, career development, recruiting oversight, management of the local office and people agenda. In addition, the Head of Operations is part of the local management group in the Oslo office.

Job Responsibilities

  • Together with the OA and the partner team, define office agenda and ensure local implementation of Nordic initiatives (clients, people, expertise & IP, brand & reputation, communication) and drive its implementation
  • Act as a business and sparring partner to the OA and the partner team
  • Set agenda and facilitate local partner, OPPL and office meetings together with OA
  • Facilitate annual planning process (NCC, billings, FTE, cost) together with the partner team and OA
  • Follow-up progress and take relevant corrective actions as needed
  • Set and execute local real estate strategy
  • Ensure a good balance in terms of client, individual, office and Nordic needs when doing staffing
  • Oversee the work of a local staffing coordinator
  • Work effectively in Nordic and European (CEMA/WESA) staffing network to import and export best expertise
  • Manage office billability effectively through staffing
  • Ensure high quality office pipeline meetings and forecast office billability outlook based on the input
  • Management of the people pyramid
  • Run local Career development committee (CDC) meetings together with local CDC heads and support from Nordic CDC functions
  • Coordination of the yearly bonus process for local consulting team
  • Actively manage local career transition process together with local OA
  • Oversee local implementation of mobility and training
  • Oversee our alumni efforts
  • Be direct line manager for local HR teams
  • Dotted-line line manager for marketing and recruiting
  • Recruit and develop the teams
  • Ensure local implementation of Nordic initiatives
  • Be an integral part of the Nordic BST mgmt. team
  • Have a few champion roles in Nordic topics and drive their implementation on a Nordic level
  • PA People manager for two Practice Areas in the Nordics
  • Actively collaborate in relevant European networks to bring in best practices

Basic Job Requirements
A minimum of 5 years work experience, successful leadership experience preferably in an international environment.
